General Terms


  • By entering the contest you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 12 midnight Saturday 20th May 2023 (CAT). Five (5) winners with registered companies or businesses in the Republic of Botswana will be selected by BlackOak Consulting on May 22nd 2023.

  • BlackOak Consulting giveaway with entries via Facebook and/or LinkedIn and/or Twitter are open only to residents of the Republic of Botswana. Five (5) winners in total only will be chosen from all entrants and across all platforms.

  • No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the contest.

  • Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.

  • Employees and their immediate family members or household members of BlackOak Consulting are not eligible to enter. (Immediate family includes spouses, life partners, parents, step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, children and step-children.  Household members include all people who share the same residence at least three months of the year.).

  • Facebook or LinkedIn or Twitter or are not in any way affiliated or involved in the contest.

  • Only one entry per person per contest will be accepted.

  • Entries will be judged entirely at the discretion of BlackOak Consulting. 

  • The final determination of the winners shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of BlackOak Consulting. The winners will be notified within twenty-eight (28) days of the closing date. If a winner can not be contacted or does not claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

  • The prize is one one-page website designed, developed, and hosted by BlackOak Consulting consisting of at most five (5) sections. This includes domain registration and hosting for a period of twelve (12) months from commencement of agreement, including at most 5 email accounts. The time to go live on the website will be within two (2) months of the agreement.

  • Each entrant shall enter the contest via Facebook and/or LinkedIn and/or Twitter by following BlackOak Consulting profile on that platform, and tagging 3 other users in the comments of the specified post by their social media platform on that platform  and sharing with BlackOak Consulting a brief story about their business and startup journey by email to the email address info@blackoak.co.bw by the closing date and time of the contest.

  • BlackOak Consulting will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.

  • BlackOak Consulting will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. BlackOak Consulting takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

  • Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the BlackOak Consulting reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.

  • The name, email address, phone number and company/business name of the winner must be provided to BlackOak Consulting if requested and will be shared to enable fulfilment of the Prize.

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond BlackOak Consulting’s reasonable control, the BlackOak Consulting reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

  • BlackOak Consulting’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

  • By participating in the giveaway contest, the winner agrees to allow BlackOak Consulting to use their names, social media handles, photograph, and likeness for promotional and advertising purposes without compensation

  • Entrants agree and acknowledge that personal data submitted with an entry, including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored, and otherwise used by BlackOak Consulting and its affiliates for the purposes of conducting and administering the contest and for other purposes set forth in BlackOak Consulting’s Privacy Policy.
